K.E.W.T

featuring

Terry Tufts and Kathryn Briggs

Concert held December 3, 2015 at 7:30 pm

K.E.W.T. is comprised of accomplished pianist Kathryn Briggs and award-winning singer/ songwriter & finger-style guitarist Terry Tufts.

This entertaining duo played to an appreciative audience at Ellena's Cafe. Terry's engaging narratives and guitar wizardry held the concert goers spellbound. Kathryn's subtle and beautiful accompaniment on the piano set off Terry's enaging songs perfectly. Kathryn shone with her own gorgeous piano compositions accompanied on guitar by Terry.  The evening was special to be sure and those who attended were all anxious to hear when the next concert would take place.

Terry has been performing since the mid 70s. His musical path taking him around the world with artists such as Susan Aglukark, David Francey, Tracey Brown just to name a few. He’s a sought out session musician & band leader with countless recording projects on his resume.

Kathryn began performing shortly after meeting Terry in the late 90s. It didn’t take long for her to record her first album of instrumentals “Small Awakenings” produced by Ian Tamblyn and consequently joining other musicians in recordings and performance. The piano arrangements on David Francey’s “Carols For A Christmas Eve” are hers and she’s performed with David and other notable Canadian musicians such as Laura Smith & Kelly Trottier

K.E.W.T featured songs from Winter Light which is a collection of traditional and original seasonal songs from Samhain to Solstice to Christmas.
